Japacaesar with sticky miso chicken
The Japacaesar salad with sticky glazed miso chicken. A classic caesar salad done with a big twist. With a nice balance of flavour and some umami goodness its a dish you need in your life!
Miso chicken, soy sauce eggs, yuzu kosho croutons, parmesan, pickled ginger, katsuobushi, kale and a goma dressing.
There are quite a few ingredients but I promise you for a salad this is the bomb!!! These ingredients are handy to have in the pantry.
Miso. You can use any miso you like. I have used genmai which is a fermented brown rice miso.
Yuzu kosho is a Japanese condiment made of yuzu peel, green chilli and salt. Available at Japanese supermarket. Goes well on chicken, seafood, rice or noodles.
Katsuobushi is dried bonito flakes. Bonito that has been dried by smoking until dry then finely shaved. Gives a great smokey umami flavour. Available from Japanese supermarket.
Soy sauce. If using a light soy marinade eggs longer or if using a dark soy sauce marinate eggs for less time.
