Tandoori veg momos, saag & pickled onions
Momos are a dumpling that comes from Nepal & Tibet. They have more curried flavour than the Asian style dumplings. Tandoori momos are dumplings that have been brushed with tandoori paste and baked in a tandoor oven or standard home oven. So you get a soft, crunchy and very flavoursome dumpling. I have paired them with a saag an Indian leaf based dish usually eaten with naan.
A little bit of work for this dish but it is worth it.
Spinach will lose its nice "greeness" if its over cooked. As soon as it starts to wilt down take it off the heat. If it gets cooked for to long its not the end of the world.
